This is the way how i dig it.

I did dig it. I did! Oh well, i got these photos from my architect. He took me in action, close and clear, but didn’t take a picture of the HOLE i dug. Muahaha, it was fun. The first time i was playing with the excavator was 5 years old, playing with the small plastic one. Then after 20 over years, i finally “played” the huge real one. What an experience. Its not easy to control, but it is definitely hard to be precise! Controlling a big scoop, and so powerful that you have to be careful and precise for every scoop, not too deep, not to left or right…just chun chun ngam ngam. These are the pictures of me with a big grin of satisfaction!

Super Clerk is no longer around.

Superman

Remember latest “Superman returns” movie? Lana said ,”Why we don’t need Superman?” Anyway, my super clerk is not with us starting August (actually on 29 July 08). She got the “bye-bye” letter from my assistant. I left my office then my assistant automatically (as told) gave her the letter, so she wont come and ask me WHY? He will handle from there. Sad, but its for everyone’s benefits. She can look for better job, where she is given more time to learn how to use Email (differentiating reply and forward mail, not replying empty mail or forward my cost price to my client!), how to SORT OUT BOOKS in librarian way, how to print documents with correct alignments, know how to use intercom ( she never talk to me using intercom. At one time, i called my staff through intercom, suddenly saw her running to my room shaking hands and told me from my glass doors that my staff who sat next to her was not around while  she could just pick up the call and say she is not around~ fainting…) btw, we suspect that she might think that intercom need to pay money?? Anyway, there is better place out side for her lo. I wish her All the BESt! You will always be in our short talk- SUPER CLERK! BTW, i do not hope that its Superclerk returns…i don’t want her to return.

She’s done it again!

She is just too SMART. She has it all, SMART and CONSISTENCY(consistently repeat the mistakes) . No doubt on tat. Last week, i brought few new magazines to office. I purposely hid it in shelves so “NO ONE” will see it and do something special to it. There is one saying, “most dangerous place, is the safest place.” So i put the books into the same shelves with the books previously being labeled ”Architects” and ” Magazines”. I just slot it in between the books, then close the cabinet doors. After 1-2 days, “phew~” nothing happen to my books yet. The day after, i was talking to my wife during other’s lunch break, i recognize the books that i brought from home were on my super clerk’s table! Then i went to the table and take a good look…confirmed are my books… it has again became like tat….

Again...unavoidable.

ATTITUDE

 

Dude, you got a ATTITUDE problem. I went for church sermon last sunday, Pastor share lots of views on ATTITUDE. He said, people can be super smart but with wrong attitude, its worst than anyone and will not better than those people not smart but with good attitude. What is attitude? I guess there are lots of argument on this “ATTITUDE”. I can tell you, in this real world, its not you got little skill or you got money or any other advantages over the others, then you will definitely succeed. Nope, doesnt work that way unless you got the right attitude. We have heard lots of examples of rich people out there telling and sharing his experience on how to build up their wealth. Most of them have few common things, they are persistence, well planned , hard working , responsible, know what they are doing (focus) , helpful (nice) , always work further more, self upgrading and SAVE money (main thing to get you rich). If you doesn’t have few of these as your attitude, we wont be successful. I can assure you that. Its not about where you work, its about how is your attitude. Everywhere on earth has opportunity, if you attitude is good, its very good chance you will grab it and be successful, other wise, you be the same failing everywhere with the same bad attitude. For those out there got any comments please drop by. Tell me your experience and how does attitude means to you.

My “super” clerk.

One day i asked my new clerk to do some book sorting job. So i called her to my room. Here i will not point out her name. Let it be XX.

ME: XX i need you to sort out this pile of books. I need it to be recorded systematically.

XX: OH i know i know, like the library system thing right? 

So i confirm with her.

ME: Ya library system type of thing. You have to keep record with the codes of the books so i know who borrows the book. Its company property, i need to keep track on that…

XX: Ya i know i know. I will do it library way.

I am sort of impressed by her promptness so i let her handle herself since she has been in other Architecture Consultant company for 17 over years! Let her impress me with her experience.

ME: Then you do it, since you said you know.

She ran out of the room and spend hours of doing it, wrapping the books, labeling the books. After few hours, she came into my room again.

XX: Steven, those books i will divide it into 2 groups – Magazines (soft covers) and Architects (hard covers). Since my previous company had been doing this all the while.

ME: Oh? Is it so? Then you do deal with it lo since you have been there for so many years.

Again, we walked out of my room and continue the work. End of the working hours, i was heading home i checked the book shelves to see how is her work. To my surprise.. she did a GREAT job!

Showroom might have a tenant.

This morning i had a meeting with someone that is dealing with Germany cars. I dont want to mention the party yet as there is not solidly confirmed. But they are not “small” company. They have lots of cool cars. I love their cars as i do support them! Anyway, we came to agreement “verbally” will rent to them for 15 years flat rate, after that will be market price…. sound nice? Not bad indeed, having a big company to like your showroom design and will consider to rent. Something to boast around. Cheers! Danke.

Blueberry, i mean BlackBerry

Everyone has been talking bout Blackberry, including my wife. ” i wanna get a Blackberry…” Is it that good that everyone wanna grab one?

When 24 hours is not enough.

Have you ever think of why there are only 24 hours a day? Why the ancient people didn’t say 25,26 hours a day? I know there many researches have done on this long long time ago. Anyway, i am just asking myself when i found that i cant finish my work. What is my work? What do i do? Me, people might think that, ” oh being Boss, good lor, people work for you. You only need to tell them what to do, they will finish it off for you.” Ideally YES, but real life, NO. You do tell people what to do, but do they really do it as what u expected? NOPE, if there is people that can implement things well from what is given by the boss, please send me a resume. I need those type of people. I want people that is smart (not too smart, coz sometime they will Kay Kiang), able to work INDEPENDENTLY ( No need me to check your progress), EFFICIENT and handsome or pretty (not necessary) , please do drop me a message. When they cant do the work you given to them, you as a boss, gotta do it for them. You pay them to do the job, ended up you do their job, then you question yourself, you get paid by him or not? Of coz not. You pay them, yet they dont perform well…then u cant sleep, they sleep well…so as conclusion, being paid better than paying them. Hai…
